Join the Carving on the Edge Festival and Morgan Asoyuf for this free hands-on workshop!
Northwest Coast formline design is a foundational visual language used across many Indigenous cultures of the coast.
In this workshop, participants will explore the basic elements of formline, including shape, flow, balance, and composition. Morgan will guide you through understanding ovoids, U-forms, and S-forms, and how they come together to create meaningful and structured designs.
This session offers a chance to slow down, observe, and begin working within this design system while gaining insight into its cultural context and significance.
