The communities in this region are rich in history, biological diversity, Indigenous culture, and human spirit. The west coast of Vancouver Island has been the traditional home of the Nuu-chah-nulth people since time immemorial.

From the tiny, historic village of Macoah in the south, through the Wild Pacific Trail of Ucluelet, through the village of Opitsaht, the oldest continuously inhabited village in BC, to the old growth forests of Hot Springs Cove in the north and the beauty of Tofino in between, learning in our communities takes you to the heart of nature.
