Join the CBT and Coastal Queers on Monday, October 6th, for a special screening of "Pride vs. Prejudice: The Delwin Vriend Story". The award-winning documentary directed by Darrin Hagen tells the true story of one man’s fight for equality and the landmark Supreme Court decision that changed Canada forever.
This screening celebrates the resilience and contributions of our local 2SLGBTQI+ community and creates space for meaningful conversations about justice and inclusion.

Following the film, there will be a short guided discussion to hear from queer teachers, community advocates, and a special guest from Nanaimo who will share their own personal story of facing the Supreme Court in a case about banned books.
