The Wild Pacific Trail is a unique outdoor classroom that offers incredible opportunities to connect people to nature.

Daily Interpretive topics can be explored from the new Interpretive Centre overlooking the iconic Amphitrite Lighthouse. Learn about the Wild Pacific Trail, Ucluelet, and the array of ecosystems on the Pacific Rim!

Step inside and discover the wonders of the Wild Pacific! The interpretive centre is open to all ages for drop-in exploration, where you can learn about local marine life, coastal ecosystems, and Ucluelet’s natural history.

The Tofino Clayoquot Heritage Museum has restarted its historical walking tours for the summer season! 

Every Wednesday

• Tour 1: 11 AM - 12 PM
• Tour 2: 2-3 PM
• $10 per person (cash or card accepted)

Their tours cover Tofino’s historic waterfront and town, and are a great activity for tourists or residents wanting to become more familiar with Tofino.

The museum is also open daily, 10 AM - 4 PM, offering a look into Tofino's history, a great activity, especially on rainy days!

Join Tourism Tofino for their weekly beach clean-up called "Washed Up Wednesdays." 

This is a free, drop-in event to help collect and record beach debris. Gloves and buckets are provided. Follow the main path from the parking lot to the beach where you’ll find us at the Tourism Tofino tent.

Participants can enter to win a complimentary 3-night stay for two at the award-winning Wickaninnish Inn. Experience rugged coastal beauty, old-growth rainforest, fresh local cuisine and expansive views of the ocean and of Chesterman Beach. Subject to availability and conditions.

The draw will take place at the end of the summer. One participant per party is eligible and must be the age of majority (19 years old).

Broaden your understanding of the ʔiisaak Pledge, Tla-o-qui-aht worldview and its parallels to Yoga.

Enjoy 60 min of thoughtfully sequenced all-levels Hatha Yoga led by Heidi MacPherson to arrive and ground within the Hahuulthii of the Tla-o-qui-aht Ha'wiih. Embody, through yoga and the pulse of traditional song and drumming, principles of the Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks ʔiisaak Pledge with Leah Morgan. Broaden your understanding of the Pledge, His-shuk-nish-tsa-waak (everything is one), the Tla-o-qui-aht worldview and its parallels to Yoga.

Reflect on the backdrop, "Everything Through Natural Law", a new, permanent art installation by Tla-o-qui-aht artist Marika Swan that represents core elements in the ʔiisaak Pledge.

Each class focuses on two teachings; participants are encouraged to attend both!

There will be a limited number of yoga mats available. Please bring your own mat and props if possible.

Fish farming is pushing wild salmon to the brink of extinction. The federal government has promised to remove fish farms from BC waters, but now industry is pushing back with false solutions.

Join Clayoquot Action’s fish farm watchdog program as a team of underwater cinematographers investigates an “experimental” fish farm near Tofino. What they find surprises them, and spells potential disaster for wild salmon.

This film looks at the impacts of salmon farming through the eyes of those fighting to protect wild salmon from extinction. Featuring First Nations members SkookumJohn, Keltsmaht First Nation and Joe Martin, Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, and Kwakwabalas - Chief Ernest Alfred, traditional and elected leader of the 'Na̱mg̱is First Nation, as well as scientist and best-selling author Alexandra Morton.
