The Tofino Ambassador Program aims to build a strong and healthy community, encouraging a positive attitude among responsible citizens, improving community relations with visitors, and growing support for the diversity and well-being of area businesses.

Outline:

This three-hour orientation session, taught by Nora Morrison, delivers the “big picture” of living in Tofino. Learn about local history and basic ecology,  businesses and activities, festivals, host etiquette, and important civic information.

Sessions run from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

This free program is offered as a joint initiative of the Raincoast Education Society, the Tofino-Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, the District of Tofino, and Tourism Tofino

Prerequisites:

Open to residents of Tofino and surrounding Clayoquot Biosphere Region. This program is for all local residents including seasonal staff, newcomers, and business owners. All local residents new and old are welcome to participate in this great, free initiative to expand their knowledge of the area and increase their participation in the community.
