Outline:

T’ashii Paddle School’s Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater Instructor Course includes a special focus on the challenges of instructing and guiding on the west coast. Lead by Paddle Canada Instructor Trainer Emre Bosut, this course includes components developed through Emre’s experience as an instructor and guide trainer as well as his time spent leading groups in a variety of paddle crafts on the west coast. Learn effective instructional techniques, group management, and safety planning.  

Successful participants in the course will receive a Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater Instructor certification along with instructional aids to help run their own courses.

 

Prerequisites:

Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater Skills or equivalent paddleboarding experience.

Instructor candidates must register for a Paddle Canada Membership to act as a Paddle Canada instructor.

 

Course includes:

Expert instruction form with a focus on decision making, guiding techniques, and rescue scenarios.

Course cost: $299

Additional costs:

Paddle Canada Membership $90 (must be registered before the course begins)

Paddleboard rental $40

Wetsuit rental $20

Participants are responsible for their own accommodation, transportation, and food.
