SKGABC Assistant Overnight Guide - September 2023
Join SKILS for a 9-day course designed for those interested in learning the skills necessary to become a sea kayak guide for day trips and overnight expeditions.
Outline:
This course is designed for motivated individuals seeking to become a certified Assistant Overnight Guide with the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC (SKGABC) and recreational paddlers seeking to improve their intermediate paddling skills.
The 9-day Assistant Overnight Guide course is accredited by SKGABC and includes the Assistant Overnight Guide Exam. Successful candidates will be awarded Assistant Overnight Guide certification and Paddle Canada Level 2 Skills.
Prerequisites:
Intermediate skill level (Complex skills are necessary to paddle in rougher conditions and more remote locations.)
Previous paddling and camping experience is required. Participants need to have already been able to take care of themselves while camping and travelling in the wilderness.

Course fee:
$1,550 before March 20; $1,650 after March 20
