Outline:
A course offered to youth 9+ encompassing basic first aid and safety skills to help children remain safe and feel secure when home alone.
Participants will learn about being safe when they are without the direct supervision of a parent or guardian, both at home and in their communities. They will learn the importance of responsibility, setting and following safety rules when on their own, and how to prepare for, recognize, and respond to unexpected situations.
The course will take place from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
