Occupational First Aid Level 1 & CPR in Tofino - July 2018
Teaching workers to deal with the most common work place emergencies and hazards. An approved WorkSafeBC program, including CPR.
Outline:
This course teaches skills needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to first aid emergencies. It includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The course is designed for anyone who would like to obtain a certification approved by WorkSafeBC. Instruction will include how to deal with choking procedures, emergency scene management, dealing with shock, spinal injuries, minor wound management, major bleeding, and use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
Prerequisites:
None, must be 16 years of age to register.
