Outline:

Join Redd Fish Restoration for a hands-on natural dye workshop where you can immerse yourself in the world of vibrant colors and traditional techniques!

Over the course of two days, you'll have the opportunity to explore two distinct methods of dyeing: indigo dyeing and bundle dyeing with mordant painting.

On the first day (June 22nd) dive into the mesmerizing art of indigo dyeing. Learn the fascinating history behind this ancient dye as you discover the techniques for creating beautiful shades of blue. Experienced instructor Jaime Holub will guide you through the process, from preparing the indigo vat to achieving stunning patterns on fabric.

The second day (June 23rd) brings a different approach to dyeing with bundle dyeing and mordant painting. Explore the natural world as a source of color as you experiment with botanical materials to create unique patterns and designs. Discover how mordants can enhance and fix colors, adding depth and permanence to your creations.

Participants have the option to join for one day of the workshop or dive into the full weekend experience. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dyer, this workshop offers a creative and educational journey into the art of natural dyeing. Come unleash your creativity and leave with beautifully dyed textiles infused with the magic of nature.
