Educator Professional Development Retreat in Tofino & Ucluelet

Learning from Place: Connecting Curriculum, Community & Environment 

Join us for an immersive, hands-on professional learning retreat in Tofino and Ucluelet, the traditional territories of ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ (Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations) and Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ (Ucluelet First Nation). 

Take inspiration, ideas, and practical tools back to your classroom: 

  • Fresh ideas from innovative place-based practitioners  

  • Hands-on experiences you can replicate or adapt locally  

  • Ready-to-use lesson plans and resources aligned with the BC curriculum 

  • New connections with educators  

  • A deeper understanding of Indigenous and local knowledge systems

Saturday, October 24th morning – workshops & field experiences & wrap-up
