Instructional Tour - August 2026

The tour is aimed at advanced beginners to intermediate paddlers and will help you gain confidence paddling in the magnificent waters of Clayoquot Sound. SKILS combines the relaxing touring atmosphere of a guided trip with the opportunity to learn key kayaking skills and knowledge in an educational paddling adventure. We customize this trip based on the expectations and goals of the participants. There is no firm established curriculum; it’s all about exploring, learning, relaxing, and eating amazing food. Clayoquot Sound offers an amazing rugged complex coastline with numerous beautiful beaches. Wildlife like whales, wolves, seals, sea lions, and eagles are very common.

SKILS has paid and reserved campsites at Surf Junction Campground in Ucluelet for the night before the expedition, as well as the last night of the expedition, so you have secured accommodation.
