Outline:

Join Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks for four afternoons of online learning & practice in the spirit of ʔiisaak (respect) & ʔič̓ay̓apst̓ał (lift each other up)! Each online session will run from 3:30 - 6:00 p.m. on March 15, March 22, March 29, and April 12. Each week the teachings will grow and build on each other so please plan to attend all 4 sessions if possible.

Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks are excited to discuss a little bit of teachings (ḥaaḥuupa) from 4 crests of a Čiinuuł introduced with generosity from the House of ʔiiḥw̓asʔatḥ.

Traditionally these teachings would have been delivered for a full 28 day moon cycle - and we hope with a small start together, over a few afternoons online together listening and reflecting - you will begin to build your own capacity & curiosity to learn more deeply about what it means to live in the right relationship with the lands, waters & people of the Tla-o-qui-aht traditional territory.

We will be joining elders, knowledge keepers and others introducing story, and perspectives alongside our community members and peers to connect to a little bit about protocol, the role of being a good guest in these lands and more.

All the links to the Zoom sessions will be provided to each registrant prior to the session.
