Conservation of Amphibians in Coastal BC - ongoing

We are a charitable organization based in the Clayoquot Biosphere Reserve region. Our mission is to promote stewardship of wetland habitats and connections to surrounding lands and waters and our focus is the conservation of amphibians. We strive to achieve our mission through research, monitoring, and educational outreach activities.

Outline:

This workshop covers the natural history of local amphibian species, the threats that they face, and approaches to conserve them on the west coast of British Columbia. Workshop length varies from 1 hour to a full day. Activities include a slide presentation, in class discussion with informal questions and answers or a quiz, a visit to a field site to observe amphibians and their habitats in nature, and opportunities to participate in fieldwork. Content and teaching style can be tailored to audience interests.

No set dates. Classroom workshops can be arranged any time of the year; field components are weather dependent.
