Advanced SUP Multi-Day Touring (Paddle Canada Certification)- June 2018
Expand your stand up paddleboard touring skills in navigation, while on a self-supported multi-day camping trip to Vargas Island.
Upon Completion you will receive a Paddle Canada SUP Touring Level 2 Skills certification.
Outline:
Launch from Tofino BC, and spend 3 days and 2 nights touring and camping on Vargas Island just north of Tofino.
Located in Clayoquot Sound, on the west coast of Vancouver Island; Vargas Island is surrounded by white sand beaches, calm bays, surf breaks and old growth rainforest. Touring around Vargas Island includes paddling among rock gardens, surf beaches, tidal currents and a lively intertidal zone. Wildlife sightings are abundant.
Learn navigation, packing a board properly, specific skills to SUP touring and much more.
Prerequisites:
Paddle Canada SUP Touring Level 1 Certification or equivalent Skills.
