Aboriginal Leadership Certificate
Outline:
The Aboriginal Leadership Program provides graduates with the practical, meaningful, and relevant skills required to fulfill positions at management and administrator levels of Indigenous organizations across Canada. Grounded within Indigenous principles and teachings of holism and place, the certificate offers students sound management and community leadership practices with which to build on existing skills while developing effective organizational management and communication strategies. Integrating Indigenous principles and practices into existing systems, these courses will provide the tools for students to become agents of change in community and economic development while offering the foundational courses to move forward in diplomas and degrees at BC post-secondary institutions.
The Aboriginal Leadership Certificate will be delivered digitally. Digital classes will be delivered via Bluejeans, a videoconferencing platform. Students will need to have access to a computer/laptop with internet access. The Instructors may discuss other videoconferencing platforms on the first day. Links will be sent to your NIC email address.
