More about the Film
Set in the rugged forests of BC, Silvicola showcases the cultural and economic forces which compel and constrain modern forestry practices. Silvicola takes the viewer to remote spaces and worksites normally hidden from view and lets workers tell their stories. It's a film that calls on us to rethink the divisions between natural and industrial worlds by spotlighting the hidden labour and logistics of modern forestry and the ecosystems we all depend on.
