FREE Online Electric Fencing Workshop - WildSafeBC
Electric Fencing Workshop WildSafeBC Online Webinar

Learn more about electric fencing for deterring predators during a FREE workshop provided by WildSafeBC. Suitable for all levels of experience.

A properly installed and maintained electric fence is a cost-effective solution to deter bears and other predators from accessing food sources such as fruit trees, chicken coops, beehives, and small livestock.

Join WildSafeBC Pacific Rim Community Coordinator Bob Hansen who has been involved in about 50 electric fencing projects to help keep wildlife wild and communities safe. He will cover, in a PowerPoint presentation, electric fencing principles and show many different examples of electric fences including chicken coops, composters, food caches, gardens, fruit trees, recycling, and garbage sheds. Depending on time and interest he will include examples from his time in Nunavut protecting Inuit Hunter's meat caches and polar bears.
